Uranos —
principle of renewal, originality and energy

The moment of truth struck in 2022 – that year we put into action what we had planned ten years ago: to create a company that would combine our strengths and follow a higher purpose – Uranos.

Uranos, named after the Greek god, is the third largest planet in the solar system. Uranos is the planet of renewal, originality and energy - it symbolizes the collapse of entrenched structures that no longer allow further development. Uranos follows the idea of both, not either-or.  

We feel deeply connected to the Uranos idea, because the times we live in require drastic changes to ensure a positive future for humanity.

With our global research in the field of sociology and culture, we have a powerful tool to help initiate these change processes. We strongly believe that the path to global change starts in people's minds. By decoding people's mindsets and commonalities, we have the data to make a positive contribution to the global community.

Carina Frisch

Carina is an internationally experienced foresight and communications strategist with 20 years experience in corporate, academic and consulting roles. Carina held leadership roles at Audi and Volkswagen in Strategy, Marketing and Communications. She founded two consulting practices, helping leading Blue Chips and Start-ups in 100+ strategic and operative projects to transform into culturally leading brands and grow. Carina holds a diploma in media management from Hochschule Rhein Main and University of Miami, and pursued a PhD program at EBS University Oestrich Winkel. She was nominated for the Female Digital Leader Award in 2018.


Björn Welzel

Björn is a recognized researcher and university lecturer with 20 years of experience in social and human sciences. He is the inventor of the clåss socio-cultural micromilieus, a model that has reached international relevance in corporations, academia and political institutions. Over the past 10+ years, Björn worked with firms and institutions such as Volkswagen, Porsche, Google, Huawei and the University St. Gallen, providing deep insights into their audience’s value systems, decoding societal change and helping them to translate these insights into tangible future strategies. Björn studied mechanical engineering, philosophy, sociology and industrial design. He finished his studies with distinction in an economic research project on the decline of the middle class in Europe. He has been teaching milieu research at Mercator School of Management for several years.


Jonas Michels

Jonas is a designer and entrepreneur bringing together innovation, branding and business strategy. He has always been enthusiastic about good design. In the last 10+ years, he led global brand and innovation projects with clients including Audi, Porsche, Siemens and Skoda. Jonas is experienced in translating insights into actual solutions and helps clients to shape their next generation product, service, and marketing innovations. Jonas holds a diploma in industrial design from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
